Leaves and Yellow Tulips

They were in their full glory but the dance of the leaves distracted me! It reminds me to look at the beauty in the little things along with the more obvious. A wrinkled necked baby and aged person and the soft, soft blush of a newborn's cheek. The dance of colour and light on the snow throughout the day and the sculptures of snow on little seed pods and grasses. "Each little flower that opens"
These same tulips, today are at their end-all leggy and gawky, yellow petals falling everywhere.

Yellow Tulips #2

This is the second attempt. Maybe tonight I will have some time to try the whole bouquet. Last night there was an interesting reflection in the kitchen window.

Yelow Tulips

It's that time of year to have tulips indoors. Bought a beautiful bunch at Fortinos and have been enjoying them immensely! Didn't realize how hard it is to paint yellow. Can tell I haven't painted for a bit. This is my first attempt and am just about ready to pack it in. Tomorrow will start with renewed vigour(inspiration).

Quebec city

There is not a lot of time to explore painting when there are two little ones asking for attention. i did try this one last week.
This was from a very interestng photograph my daughter took in Quebec city. I took up the challenge of finding out what really intigued me about these roof tops. Still don't have an answer to that but it sure was a good exercise-pardon me but is, since it still needs to be fiddled with.
