A pathway at Arrowhead Park. Roads and paths are so interesting to paint. They are also subjects for so much musing in literature. My mother used to quote a dutch poem about "Golden Portals" "Als gouden de portaalen zijn, hoe zullen dan die zaalen zijn" whenever she saw the beautiful fall colours.

Love painting on old wood. This is an old cutting board-done years ago when Lisha and James married from a pattern in a Dorothy Dent landscape book. Kind of dreamy!

This painting was done on a piece of old pine board(beautiful patina) one spring at Dundas Valley. There is a little creek running under the road and you could look up and see this field covered in daisies. So many hidden corners with so much beauty!

This was a painting that I have been working on in a class on Tuesday afternoons. It's has been fun! Next class colour value will be discussed. Not everything can be front and centre and not all the colours should be loud. Will have to take that to heart! I fiddled with this painting on Saturday and hopefully got the jug looking more rounded and the colour values improved. Will have to ask about the space on the left.

This is another painting done in East River at Arrowhead Provincial Park. Those birches keep beckoning to be painted when we are up there. What a wonderful time of year-early fall-cool enough to walk, paint or do whatever!

This painting was on an old piece of pine from Hilary and Jelle's house which is more than 100 years old. It was removed when they put in a patio door and is an attempt to portray that particular Ontario cottage with the crabapple in front of it.
