Painted this tree from our kitchen window, yesterday, while it was snowing. Haven't had this much snow on it yet this winter! The right side of the sugar maple seems to be dying and every year it becomes more gnarled. The woodpeckers have been at the holes in the right branch. In the fall it had beautiful golden leaves-but before it could be painted, we had a big windstorm. Finally caught it clothed in snow.
